Who You Gonna Call?
Proverbs 2:6 says, 6 For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
I’m certain that my two sons-in-law think we’re crazy. My wife, two daughters and I are extremely close and are constantly on social media, private message each other, or on the phone throughout the day. Whether the news is good or bad, we share it with each other. However, I’ve learned that before I go to them, I need to go to God. Of course, he is already aware of every detail, but when I release it to him, I am blessed and the burdened seems lighter.
Think about it…what we share with Jesus in confidence, prayer, or thanksgiving is never misunderstood or ignored. So, even though there are those who’ll lend a willing ear, why don’t you first go to Jesus and get his guidance because he alone is able to affect both our hearts and circumstances.
As the songwriter said in the classic hymn, I MUST TELL JESUS…” Tempted and tried, I need a great Savior, One who can help my burden to bear.”
