The Best Is Still To Come

Revelation 1:7 (KJV) 7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Perhaps you’ve heard the story who was diagnosed with an incurable disease and met to plan her funeral arrangements.  After making the selections for songs, favorite Scripture verses and participants, the lady said, “there’s one more thing, I want to be buried with a fork in my hand.”

The minister asked, “Why a fork?”

She replied, “My mother always said to us while clearing the table to keep our forks because the best is still to come.”  She would be serving dessert next. 

For a believer in Christ, the best-is-still-to-come.  We will all come face-to-face one day with Jesus and it’ll not get any better than that, so hang on to your spoon!  There’s more to look forward too.
