GAINING KNOWLEDGE

Proverbs 1:7 says, “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

In times of decision, wisdom can be a leader’s best friend. I’ve sat in meetings when we circled the wagon a dozen times and never found the necessary conclusion. The person in the room who will walk away with the greatest amount of influence will be the one with the wisdom to draw a conclusion that not only works, but receives the blessing of the others.

What a beautiful picture depicted for us in Proverbs 1 of wisdom - a woman crying out in the streets. Wisdom doesn’t hide herself - but - she shouts publicly! We can learn from this.
