Higher Power

Psalm 9:10, “And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee;  For thou, Jehovah, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.”

Mother Teresa once said, “I know God will not give me anything I can’t handle.  I just wish he didn’t trust me so much.”

Have you ever felt that way?  There’s no question that keeping the faith can be tough, especially during times of adversity.  Exhaustion sets in, yet we can’t sleep.  God is silent, yet he expects us to rest in him.

It is at these critical crossroads that our faith is stretched.  But if we will persevere, God will create in us a new level of spiritual strength.  And we will understand more of who he is – and who we are in him.

Remember, you are a child of the King, the offspring of a sovereign heavenly Father.  You have power from on high!  Carry that confidence with you into this day.
